Welcome to salento.digital, the directory of Colombian businesses in Colombia. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the salento.digital website and its versions in other languages (the “Site”). The Site is operated by the salento.digital team (“we” or “us”).

By using the Site, creating an account or listing a business, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. What the Site offers

The Site is an online directory where Colombian businesses and businesses of the Colombian community in Colombia can publish their information: contact details, location, branches, hours, photos, social media and fair or event dates. The basic listing is free.

The Site only displays information. We do not sell the products or provide the services of the listed businesses, we are not a party to any agreement between you and a business, and we do not guarantee their quality, price, availability or legality.

2. Accounts

  • You need an account to list and edit a business. You must be of legal age and authorized to represent the business.
  • The information you provide must be true, complete and up to date. You can correct it at any time from My business.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done with your account. Let us know immediately if you believe someone used it without your permission.

3. Content you publish

You are responsible for the information, text, images, logos and links you publish (“Content”). By publishing it, you confirm that you hold the necessary rights and that the Content does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

You keep ownership of your Content. You grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to host, display, reproduce, adapt the format of (for example, resize images) and distribute it on the Site and to promote the directory, for as long as your listing is published.

You may not publish Content that:

  • is false, misleading or fraudulent, or promotes illegal activities;
  • is offensive, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit or defamatory;
  • uses third-party trademarks, photos or text without authorization;
  • contains viruses, malicious code, spam or links to dangerous sites;
  • includes other people’s personal information without their consent.

4. Review and moderation

We may review businesses before publishing them. We may also correct obvious formatting errors, assign or change the category, and hide or remove any listing or Content that breaches these Terms, without notice.

Some listings may have been created from public information. If you own a listed business and want to manage, correct or remove it, write to us at info@salento.digital.

  • The “Featured” option costs COP $35 per month. It is paid in advance through PayPal and is also subject to PayPal’s terms.
  • Each payment activates the featured status for one month from the payment date. If you renew before it expires, the new month is added to the current period. There is no automatic renewal: you are never charged without your authorization.
  • A featured business appears first in its category, with a “Featured” badge, and rotates on the home page. The order and frequency of appearance may vary. We do not guarantee any number of visits, contacts or sales.
  • Payments are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law, in the case of a charge made in error, or if we remove your listing even though you have not breached these Terms. In that last case, we will refund the unused portion of the period on a pro-rata basis.
  • We may change the price in the future. Changes do not affect periods already paid.

6. Fairs and events schedule

Fair and event dates, venues and hours are published by each business. They may change or be cancelled. Confirm them with the business or the organizers before you go.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • copy or extract the directory data in bulk (for example, with bots or automated programs) or use it to send unsolicited advertising;
  • try to access other people’s accounts or restricted areas, or interfere with the security or operation of the Site;
  • create fake accounts or listings, or impersonate another person or business.

8. Intellectual property

The salento.digital name, logo, Site design and code belong to us or are used with permission. You may not use them without our written permission, except to link to the Site or to mention that your business is listed on it.

9. Third-party links and services

The Site contains links to third-party websites, social media, WhatsApp, maps and payment services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that it will operate without interruptions or errors, or that the information published by businesses is accurate or up to date.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or opportunities arising from the use of the Site or of the businesses listed on it. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to it, or US$100 if you have not paid anything.

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that the law grants you and that cannot be excluded by contract.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your Content or from your breach of these Terms.

13. Suspension and account closure

You may ask us to close your account and remove your listing at any time by writing to info@salento.digital. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example, intellectual property, limitation of liability and governing law) will continue to apply.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version on this page with its date. If the changes are significant, we will notify listed businesses by email. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the new version.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the State of Florida. This does not affect the rights that the consumer protection or privacy laws of your place of residence grant you on a mandatory basis.
